Home » Thermometric chains (Resistance thermometers, Thermocouples, Thermistors)
Thermometric chains are instruments used for temperature measurements consisting of a digital indicator connected to a probe. The probes can be resistance thermometers, thermocouples, or thermistors, depending on the application.
The most used sensors are Pt100 thermoresistances, NTC thermistors, and common type thermocouples, in particular type K.
For resistance thermometers, the most generally used sensors are Pt100 and Pt1000, for thermistors we have NTCs, and for thermocouples, standard sensors are K, J, T, N or E types, i.e. the common type thermocouples.
Depending on the application, temperature probes are also divided into penetration probes, immersion probes, contact probes or air probes.
In terms of portable temperature measurement equipment, Senseca offers a wide range of solutions to suit every need and application with single or dual input models for thermocouple probes, or single or dual input models for resistance thermometers.
Thermistors are mainly used in temperature measurement and control, for example by using Senseca’s HD208 mini data loggers series.
