Pitot or Darcy tubes are among the most popular techniques for measuring air velocity using pressure measurements. This type of sensor is particularly suitable for high-speed measurements such as aircraft cruising speed or in extreme climatic conditions as it is not affected by parameters such as temperature and humidity.
In addition to calibrating anemometer chains, our laboratory also provides the K-factor value in the case of Pitot tube calibrations only.
The Senseca portable micromanometers-thermometers measure the differential pressure detected by the Pitot or Darcy tube connected to the instrument’s inlets, obtaining the air speed and flow rate. They also measure temperature with a K thermocouple probe.
