Acoustic Laboratory

The LAT 124 electroacoustics laboratory has been accredited since 2001 for the calibration of sound level meters, integrating sound level meters, single frequency acoustic calibrators, multi-frequency acoustic calibrators, pistonphones, third octave band filters, octave band filters and LS (Laboratory standard) and WS (Working standard) microphones.

Thanks to decades of activity, the high quality of the measurement equipment used and the high competence of the staff, the laboratory can provide calibration services at the highest levels of quality, reliability, and rapidity.

Calibration services are available for instruments from all the world’s leading manufacturers.

The test methods adopted by the laboratory are based on the following standards:

Sound level meters, integrating sound level meters, IEC 29-30, IEC 61672-3 and IEC EN 61672-3
Single-frequency sound calibrators: IEC EN 60942 Annex B
Multi-frequency sound calibrators: IEC EN 60942 Annex B CEI EN 60942 Annex B
Pistonphones: IEC EN 60942 Annex B CEI EN 60942 Annex B
Third octave band filters, octave band filters IEC 61260 and CEI EN 61260
LS (Laboratory standard) and WS (Working standard) microphones IEC 61094-5 and CEI EN 61094-5 and Calibration for comparison in coupler

Calibration services are available for instruments complying with the following standards:

Calibrators and pistonphones conforming to IEC EN 60942:2003 and IEC EN 60942:2004
Sound level meters in accordance with EN 60651:2001, IEC 60804:2000 and IEC EN 60804:2001
Sound level meters complying with IEC 61672-1:2002 and IEC EN 61672-1:2003
Sound level meters complying with IEC 61672-1:2013 and IEC EN 61672-1:2014
Filters according to IEC 61260:1995 and CEI EN 61260:1997
Microphones complying with IEC 61094-1:2000 and IEC EN 61094-1:2001
Microphones complying with IEC 61094-4:1995 and IEC EN 61094-4:1997
