The high spectral range of UV-C extends from 100 to 280 nm.
The sun’s natural UV-C radiation is filtered out entirely in the upper layers of the atmosphere and does not reach the earth’s surface.
In technical applications, this spectral range, known in particular for its bactericidal effect, is mainly used for the sterilisation of water, air and surfaces using UVC lamps.
